I don’t know about all of you, but I’m on constant Christmas surveillance to detect my favorite presents under the tree…books! After years of careful research, I’ve come up with some ways to be confident in my guessing abilities.
This is Amy Green, fiction publicist…and sneaky book-present detective. Here is my top-secret method for your instruction and use. Enjoy!
Okay, readers, what tips have you used to determine whether you have any book presents under the tree?
When it’s the correct size for a book, sometimes you have to gauge weight–is it unusually light for a book? Probably DVDs.
This chart is great!!! π
Love the chart! Although, my sneaky-book-giving parents figured me out early! My dad would wrap all of the books in boxes with bells, bricks, marbles, or pecans for filling. He would also put the books in the middle of layers of socks. Now, I do the same for my readers π
Buy ’em, wrap & place them sub-tree myself.
I love your flowchart!
My mom was always putting things inside our presents (jingle bells, BBs, anything that would make some kind of noise if the present was shaken) and she would also put the presents in boxes that were nothing like the size of the actual present. I inherited all my sneakiness from her.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Amy, and a fabulously blessed New Year! Thanks for all you do!
