Since it’s the first Sunday of the month, we’ll be continuing the Bethany House Fiction tradition of taking time to pray for authors who have new releases coming out this month. I’m Amy Green, the fiction publicist here, and I’m thankful for all of the readers who show their support for our authors in the way that matters most: by praying for them. To read more about the reasons behind this time of prayer, go to this post.
Authors with Books Releasing in November:
Julianna Deering
Sarah Loudin Thomas
Jen Turano
Verse of the Month: Feel free to use the text of this verse to guide your prayers for these authors, as well as other people in your life who you want to remember in prayer today.
“Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.“–1 Chronicles 16:10-11 (NIV)
General Suggestions for Prayer:
- For mental energy for multiples tasks and decisions that may need to be made.
- For readers to be surprised by unexpected truth and encouragement in these stories.
- For future writing projects–the creativity for starting them and the dedication for finishing them.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy days to pray for these authors and their books. We appreciate having you join with us!
This is such a gift! Thank you.
Thank you for writing, Sarah!

I think this is a very special thing that you are doing for the authors. Thanks for encouraging us to pray for them also! I know several authors who have health issues, too. We should remember to pray for their health also.
Absolutely, Paula. Thanks so much for joining us in prayer!

I love that you do this every month. Not being a writer (just a grateful reader), your suggestions for prayers are very helpful.
I’m glad they were helpful, Jeanne, and I really appreciate you taking the time to pray for authors.

I appreciate the prayer SO much. I know I cannot finish a book without God’s leading and strength. It means so much to know people are praying for me, especially for God’s guidance for what I should be doing from day to day.
Julianna Deering.
You’re so welcome! It’s a joy to pray for you and the other BHP authors.
