Prayer for Authors: September 2015

Since it’s the first Sunday of the month, we’ll be continuing the Bethany House Fiction tradition of taking time to pray for authors who have new releases coming out this month. I’m Amy Green, the fiction publicist here, and I’m thankful for all of the readers who show their support for our authors in the way that matters most: by praying for them. To read more about the reasons behind this time of prayer, go to this post.

Authors with Books Releasing in September:

Angela Hunt
Kristi Ann Hunter
Beverly Lewis
Dina L. Sleiman
Roseanna M. White

Verse of the Month: Feel free to use the text of this verse to guide your prayers for these authors, as well as other people in your life who you want to remember in prayer today.

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:21-23, ESV

General Suggestions for Prayer:

  • For wisdom in knowing which opportunities to take and which to turn down.
  • For encouraging interactions with others (including readers) during difficult or creatively “dry” times.
  • For these books to impact those who read them with a message of hope.

It’s wonderful knowing so many of you are joining with me in prayer today for our authors, so thank you. It really matters!

  1. Authors need our encouragement and prayers and I try to do this with ones I read and others that I see from your post that have new books, I pray that their words will bring healing or laughter when needed or just a time away from the busy world. Thank you authors for your words that are put into a form that readers can enjoy for hours at a time and glean the message God might want them to hear at that time.
